Mark Allison

Location: Valencia, Spain

Mark Allison is originally from the UK and currently based in Spain. He has worked in Asia for the last twelve years as a human rights researcher, business owner, and leadership coach.

Mark has a degree in East Asian languages from Leeds University, a master’s degree in international law from the University of London, and diplomas in personal coaching and biodynamic craniosacral therapy.

He spent three years working in education and cultural exchange in Japan before taking up positions in legal research and advocacy at Amnesty International. His human rights career, in both London and Hong Kong, allowed Mark to consolidate skills in strategic and analytical thinking, project management, team leadership, and facilitation. He also has a high degree of cultural awareness and sensitivity, which he cultivated whilst living in Asia and successfully managing three businesses.

Mark is passionate about people’s potential to create positive behavioural change. He trained as a mindfulness-based coach and facilitator to catalyse growth and development in organisations, corporations and individuals. He helps senior leaders connect with their sense of purpose, manage stress, and lead from a place of authenticity and trust.

Mark’s work is informed by scientific research and guided by a more ‘inside out’ view of life, where people’s inner states largely determine their external experiences. Mark’s coaching style harnesses both intuitive and cognitive skills, helping clients shift their behaviour and reach their goals.

Mark enjoys swimming, cycling, yoga, meditation, and reading in his spare time.
