Mark has over three decades of experience advising and coaching executive leaders in Asia. He has a unique combination of business, psychology and practice expertise. He has been an advisor to executives through his banking, strategic & organizational consulting, coaching and corporate board work. He combines this with his clinical practice. His 30-year meditation practice is also foundational to his work.

Previously the Managing Director and Head of Asia Governance and Strategic Initiatives at Standard Chartered Bank, he managed governance for 22 countries in Asia and served on various bank executive management committees and subsidiary boards. Mark also worked as Partner in charge of Asia Pacific Financial Services and Asian Emerging Markets at Booz Allen & Hamilton. There he led strategic transformation and change management assignments for multinational and Asian clients. Mark has founded his own corporate advisory firms in Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia.
Mark has a deep level of expertise across a wide range of industries, countries and multi-cultural environments in many areas including leadership development, transformation and change management, corporate governance, business strategy, enterprise-wide risk management and mergers and acquisition due diligence and integration. He is a member of both the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Singapore Institute of Directors.
Mark is currently pursuing a MA counseling psychology with emphasis in family and marriage therapy, professional clinical counseling and depth psychology at the Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California. He is doing his clinical internship in Singapore and writing his thesis on Asian family businesses. He is a member of the Singapore Psychological Society. Mark also has a MA in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley and a BA (Honors) in Economics from Cornell University.
He has also co-taught a meditation course at Singapore Management University MBA program. Mark has a passion for languages, holding a minor in modern foreign languages from Cornell University, and studied intermediate Mandarin Chinese at the Taiwan National Normal University.
