The Problem

A leading media organisation in Singapore was implementing a restructure to streamline it’s operation. After a difficult year it was important to get all the key leadership stakeholders on board and to minimize gossip and uncertainty at all levels of the organisation.

We were tasked with facilitating the change day for 80 people and to create ownership of the proposed change at all levels, generate excitement about the way forward and inspire a new sense of confidence and purpose right across the agency.

The Solution

Our approach took on a number of levels.

First we had to ensure that the leadership team was fully aligned around the changes so we proposed a half day prior to the change day just with the leadership team. Everyone had to be on board not just at the verbal level but also at the feeling level. This is what the rest of the agency would pick up on on the day.

The day itself involved a framing of the concept of change and what get’s in the way followed by an all agency imagination exercise that allowed each person to feel into what this new agency would look like. Each team captured this new personalised vision visually on canvas and presented it in a fun and highly engaging way. Everyone then had the opportunity to look at themselves and commit to one or two behaviours that they could change to make this collective vision a reality. The day was complete with practical exercises on how to be inspirational and show appreciation and support to others.
